Born and raised in Germany, Michael received his architecture degree from Fachhohschule Augsburg - University of Applied Science. During his studies, he interned with an architecture firm in Ohio and was offered the chance of a lifetime: to move to America and pursue his dream of working in the architectural field. After 15 years in Ohio, he became a Hoosier and began his career with MD Architects.
Through his role as Vice President of Construction, Michael manages projects both small and large by assisting clients with the design phase and navigating the construction process. He enjoys bringing livable, exciting spaces to life and transforming ideas and concepts into a reality for clients. This includes interpreting building codes and regulations and writing specifications.
Michael enjoys anything outdoors including hiking and biking in the summer and skiing in the winter. He also loves to cook and is a well-versed bread maker with his long-standing sourdough starter. As a German, he is known for a mean Sauerkraut, which he claims is very authentic.
