Greenfield-Hancock Animal Management

Overview

This animal shelter was designed for the City of Greenfield’s Animal Management Department. The one-story new build includes animal intake rooms, a drive-thru sallyport, separate dog and cat adoption holding rooms, a treatment area, exterior play areas for dogs, a 200-square-foot horse barn, and an on-property chicken coup.

Interior design inspiration comes from the client’s request for a fun atmosphere with bright colors and a pop-art theme while keeping the finishes sensible, durable, and easy to clean. The shelter features thoughtful mechanical exhaust and sound control to manage the noise of barking dogs and ease anxieties.
