MD Announces Key Leadership Promotions in Seattle Office

Kirkland, Washington – February 19, 2025 – MD Architects is pleased to announce the promotions of two key leaders in its West Coast office: Jennifer Phang, AIA, NCARB to Vice President of Design Operations, and Brittany Brown, IIDA, NCIDQ to Studio Director.

After decades of dedication to MD, Jennifer Phang has stepped into Vice President of Design Operations for the Seattle studio. In this role, Jennifer will oversee all projects in the design phase and ensure they align with the firm’s high-quality standards. Her 25+ years of experience in design, combined with her strategic thinking and collaborative approach, make her an invaluable asset and go-to resource. “We’re so fortuitous to have Jennifer here sharing her wide and lengthy architectural and design experience to guide our team,” says Franklin Ng, Partner.

MD is dually celebrating Brittany Brown’s promotion to Studio Director. She’ll lead Team 5 of the Seattle studio and coordinate between owners, consultants, and governing jurisdictions to ensure her team’s projects mimic client expectations. Brittany has been with MD for almost five years and has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership skills, a deep understanding of the firm’s values, and a strong commitment to client satisfaction. Franklin Ng, Partner, shares his support, “She has a huge breadth of experiences, and we truly feel there is no one better to step into this role.”

With a People-First culture, these promotions reflect MD’s commitment to recognizing and developing talent within the organization. As they continue transitioning into these roles, we congratulate them on their career milestones and look forward to their successes.
